This Privacy Policy explains how AiWebSoft collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit https://aiwebsoft.co/. It also explains your privacy rights and how to exercise them.
We serve readers in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, the United States, Canada and elsewhere, and we have written this policy with the main privacy laws in those regions in mind. These include the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the EU ePrivacy Directive, US state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA), and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
By using the Website, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy.
1. Who We Are
The Website is owned and operated by Kaushal Dave, Ahmedabad, India. For the purposes of the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, we are the data controller of the personal data described in this policy, except where we say a third party (such as Google) acts as an independent controller.
Contact for privacy matters: hi@aiwebsoft.co
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you give us
- Contact form and email: if you contact us, we collect your name, email address, the subject and the content of your message, plus any other information you choose to include.
- Comments: if you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and (optionally) the website you enter, your comment, your IP address and your browser user-agent string. We use the IP address and user agent to help detect spam.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit the Website, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information, including:
- your IP address (which may indicate your approximate location);
- browser type and version, operating system and device type;
- pages you view, the time and date of your visit, time spent on pages and the website or search engine that referred you;
- information collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4 and our [Cookie Policy](/cookie-policy/)).
2.3 Information we do not collect
We do not knowingly collect special-category (sensitive) personal data, such as health information, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions or religious beliefs. Please do not include this kind of information in comments or messages.
3. How We Use Your Information and Our Legal Bases
We use personal information only for the purposes below. For visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland, we rely on the legal bases shown:
| Purpose | Legal Basis (UK/EU GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Operating, maintaining, and securing the Website, including preventing spam, abuse, and fraud | Legitimate interests in keeping the Website safe and operational |
| Responding to your messages, correction reports, and requests | Legitimate interests, or taking steps you have requested |
| Publishing and moderating comments | Legitimate interests; consent where you choose to save your details |
| Measuring and improving the Website through analytics | Consent where required by law; otherwise, legitimate interests where applicable |
| Showing advertising, including personalized advertising, through Google AdSense | Consent for personalized advertising and non-essential cookies where required by law; legitimate interests for non-personalized advertising, subject to applicable cookie-consent requirements |
| Sending our newsletter, if you subscribe | Consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Complying with legal obligations and enforcing our terms | Legal obligation or legitimate interests, as applicable |
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time (see Section 9). Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.
We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects for you.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use strictly necessary cookies to run the Website, and, **with your consent where the law requires it**, analytics and advertising cookies.
Visitors from the UK, EEA and Switzerland will see a consent message when they first visit, where they can accept, reject or customize non-essential cookies.
Full details, including the cookies we use and how to control them, are in our [Cookie Policy](/cookie-policy/).
5. Advertising: Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on the Website. Google is a third-party vendor, and it acts as an independent controller for the personal data it processes in connection with its advertising services.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this Website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this Website and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings.
- Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices (US). You may also use www.youronlinechoices.eu (Europe and UK) or youradchoices.ca (Canada).
Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Google’s own privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Other ad vendors and networks. In addition to Google, other third-party vendors and ad networks approved by Google may serve ads on the Website. These vendors may also use cookies, web beacons or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads. Visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland can see the full list of these vendors and choose which ones to allow in our consent message. You can also visit these vendors’ websites to opt out of personalized advertising, where they offer that option.
Non-personalized ads. If you do not consent to personalized advertising, Google may still show you non-personalized ads. These are based on contextual information, such as the content of the page you are viewing and your general location, rather than your past browsing. Non-personalized ads may still use cookies for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention, where permitted.
Consent in the UK, EEA and Switzerland. For visitors in these regions, we use a consent management platform certified by Google that integrates with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, to ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown or non-essential cookies are used, where the law requires it.
6. Analytics: Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the Website, for example which pages are popular and how visitors arrive. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages visited, approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser information, and interactions with the Website. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses.
Where required, analytics cookies are only set after you give consent. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
We retain Google Analytics data for 14 months.
7. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information only with:
- Advertising and analytics partners, including Google, as described in Sections 5 and 6.
- Service providers who help us run the Website and process data on our behalf under contract, including:
- Web hosting: Hostinger
- Website platform: WordPress (self-hosted)
- Email: Hostinger
- Gravatar: if you leave a comment, an anonymized string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be sent to the Gravatar service (operated by Automattic) to check whether you have a profile picture. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy.
- Legal and safety reasons: when we believe disclosure is required by law, court order or a valid request from a public authority, or is needed to protect our rights, our users or others.
- Business transfers: if the Website is sold, merged or transferred, personal information may be transferred to the new owner, who will be bound by this Privacy Policy or an equivalent one.
- Embedded content from other websites
Articles may include embedded content, such as videos (e.g. YouTube), images or posts. Embedded content behaves as if you had visited the other website directly. That website may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interaction with the embedded content.
8. International Data Transfers
We and our service providers, including Google, may process your personal information in countries other than the one where you live, including the United States and India. These countries may have data-protection laws that differ from those in your country.
When we transfer personal data from the UK, EEA or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as adequacy decisions (including the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, its UK Extension and the Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, where the recipient is certified), or Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
9. Your Privacy Rights
You can exercise your rights by emailing hi@aiwebsoft.co. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within the time required by law, usually within one month (UK/EU) or 45 days* (US states). We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9.1 UK, EEA and Switzerland
Under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
- erase your data (“right to be forgotten”);
- restrict our processing of your data;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time;
- data portability;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent;
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office ico.org.uk. In the EEA, you can contact the data-protection authority in your country list of EU authorities.
We’d appreciate the chance to address your concerns first, so please contact us before you complain.
9.2 United States
Depending on the state you live in (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and other states with comprehensive privacy laws), and to the extent those laws apply to us, you may have the right to:
- know and access the personal information we collect about you and how we use and disclose it;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete personal information;
- obtain a copy of your personal information in a portable format;
- opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, and of targeted advertising (also called cross-context behavioral advertising);
- appeal our decision if we decline your request, by replying to our decision email with the word “Appeal”.
- “Sale” and “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. However, allowing advertising cookies from Google and its partners for personalized advertising may count as “selling” or “sharing” personal information, or as “targeted advertising”, under some US state laws. You can opt out by:
- using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” / privacy choices link on the Website, where shown;
- enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, which we treat as a valid opt-out request where required by law;
- adjusting your Google Ads Settings or visiting aboutads.info/choices.
Categories of personal information we collected in the past 12 months include: identifiers (such as name, email address, IP address and cookie identifiers); internet or other electronic network activity (such as browsing and interaction data); approximate geolocation; and inferences used for advertising. The sources, purposes and recipients are described in Sections 2, 3 and 7. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require an opt-out right.
You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, where permitted by law. We may ask for proof of authorization.
9.3 Canada
Under PIPEDA and applicable provincial laws (including Québec’s Law 25), you have the right to access and correct the personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw your consent to its use, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada priv.gc.ca or your provincial privacy regulator.
10. “Do Not Track”
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for interpreting DNT signals, the Website does not currently respond to them. We do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as described in Section 9.2.
11. How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law:
- Contact messages and emails: up to 24 months after our last communication with you, unless we need them longer to resolve a dispute or meet legal obligations.
- Comments and associated data: for as long as the comment is published on the Website. You can ask us to delete your comment at any time.
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep only a record of your unsubscription so we don’t email you again.
- Server logs: typically for up to 30–90 days, depending on our hosting provider’s settings.
- Analytics data: see Section 6.
- Cookies: see our Cookie Policy for how long each cookie lasts.
12. How We Protect Your Information
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. These include HTTPS encryption across the Website, keeping WordPress and plugins up to date, strong access controls, and working with reputable service providers. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Children’s Privacy
The Website is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the UK, EEA and Switzerland). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
14. Links to Other Websites
The Website contains links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any website you visit.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our practices, the services we use or the law. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you, for example with a notice on the Website.
